Our Story

Our President and Owner Yoshiaki "Red" Tamura, began his timber experience at a trading house selling softwoods for the decking and fencing market in Japan during the 90s out of Seattle, WA. 

As it neared the turn of the century he was seeing increased demands for decorative hardwoods out of the Midwest and East Coast and knew to jump on this opportunity to create his own company, North Cascades Forest Products, LLC.  

This shifted his sales focus to primarily hardwoods sustaining the furniture and flooring markets as owner and operator. 

As business grew, the company needed to as well. 

By 2015, the family business grew and Robert Yuji Jordan had gone under his wing to learn the trade. 

From the time the company established in 2000 to current day, we've tried our hand in many sectors of the timber industry. 

Our bread and butter is supplying logs however we have built programs for custom cut dimensional lumber, tonewood blanks, custom slicing veneer, used and new bourbon/wine barrels, staves for cooperages, distillers yeast for whiskey production. 

To build these programs, it takes many hands and we pride ourselves for establishing long term relationships with both our suppliers and customers in order to meet everyone's needs and maintain a sustainable future for our timber industry.
